May 13, 2022 - Community Collaboration with the Surrogacy Industry / MHB's Advocacy and Research Forum
Join Men Having Babies and community partners as we discuss the involvement of non-profit and community organizations in the surrogacy industry. It is common for fertility and surrogacy businesses collaborate with non-profit organizations on advocacy, education, financial assistance and standard-setting. The panel will discuss the dynamics of the various relationships patters that are typical between businesses and non-profit in the same field - including adversarial positions, charitable support, utilitarian collaborations and even partnerships. In particular, we will examine how a nonprofit like MHB can maintain its independence and accountability to the community it serves while fostering mutually beneficial collaborations with entities that at times may have diverging interests.
