In this session we will review of MHB’s Guidelines for Safe, Legal and Ethical Surrogacy Abroad. We will then have a panel of legal experts in surrogacy in the USA and Canada to answer questions about topics such as the role of surrogacy agencies, sources for egg donation, screening and the selection of surrogates, and differences in the process of attaining parental recognition and citizenship upon the return to Israel.
This panel will have simultaneous translation between English and Hebrew.

Getting started guide: Surrogacy resources and financial assistance (Building A)

An overview on online resources, support groups and other guidance MHB offers to prospective gay fathers, suggestions on how to effectively gather information and select surrogacy providers, and on how to make the process more affordable with discounts and financial assistance.

Q&A session: The Gay Parenting Assistance Program (GPAP) and the Membership Benefits Program (MBP) (Building A)

Your questions answered about financial assistance available to prospective parents with demonstrated financial need (GPAP), and discounts available to all MHB supporting members through the organization's new Membership Benefits Program (MBP).

Expert panel: Insurance & Budgeting issues for U.S. and Canadian surrogacy (sponsored by ART Risk Financial & Insurance Solutions) (Building A)

A closer look at medical insurance and surrogate compensation packages. This panel addresses specific surrogacy budgeting considerations for non-USA residents. English and Hebrew, with simultaneous translation to both languages.

The medical screening of future fathers, egg donors and surrogates, the creation of optimal embryos, and the IVF process. A discussion on components of the surrogacy process that can be done remotely or in Israel in order to reduce the need for travel.
