Surrogacy Seminar & Gay Parenting Expo


Chicago, September 20, 2015

Following the successful collaboration in offering a mini-conference in September 2014, Men Having Babies teamed up once again with the Center on Halsted and Howard Brown Health Center to offer a program dedicated to biological parenting for gay men— and this time it was a full day conference held on September 20, 2015. For the first time in any USA conference, this event offered extensive information and presentations about parenting options in Canada, Mexico and beyond. Our two local community partners assisted in provided outstanding hospitality and support in order to accommodate over 20 Gay Parenting Expo exhibitors, and the 150 parents, prospects, and professional that attended. The program included peer advice on planning a parenting journey and choosing providers as well as expert and personal stories from various panelists. New this year, the event featured twenty meet the sponsor breakout sessions as well as on-site private consultations with select clinics and surrogacy agencies in town for the event. Sponsorship proceeds benefited the Gay Parenting Assistance Program.

Following the successful collaboration in offering a mini-conference in September 2014, Men Having Babies is teaming again with the Center on Halsted and Howard Brown Health Center to offer a program dedicated to biological parenting for gay men— and this time for a full day conference. MHB conferences are unique in providing a wealth of unbiased information and access to a wide range of relevant service providers. This year in Chicago attendees will benefit from:

With over 2000 couples and singles worldwide, including 500 in Europe, Men Having Babies (MHB) is the only international nonprofit organization dedicated to providing gay biological fathers and fathers-to-be with educational and financial support. It offers monthly workshops and five annual conferences in NY, Chicago, Brussels, San Francisco and Tel Aviv. The Men Having Babies educational events are unique for offering a wealth of unbiased information and access a wide range of relevant service providers. The organization’s Gay Parenting Assistance Program (GPAP) annually provide dozens of couples with over a million dollars worth of cash grants, discounts and free services from about forty leading service providers.
