Public Health and COVID-19 Policy

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic and related public health concerns, MHB has established guidelines for 2021 in-person conferences and events. At all times, MHB events will comply with local, national, and venue-specific public health guidelines and requirements. In addition, to the extent allowed by local law, MHB may have attendance requirements beyond those required by authorities and venues.

It is our policy that presenters, staff, and attendees at our events be fully vaccinated. For event entry, proof of vaccination will be required. In cases where local law prevents us from verifying vaccination status directly, attendance may be allowed by presenting an officially recognized digital pass / certificate that has been determined sufficient to allow event entry in that jurisdiction.

Based on prevailing public health circumstances, participants may be required to follow additional safety protocols, including masking (unless actively eating or drinking).

In addition, our policy is that presenters, staff, and exhibitors undergo a rapid COVID-19 test upon arrival at the conference.

Who We Are?

Since our incorporation as a nonprofit in 2012, Men Having Babies has been the leader in providing education and financial assistance for men choosing to start their families through gestational surrogacy. The organization’s Gay Parenting Assistance Program (GPAP) annually provides dozens of couples with over a million dollars worth of cash grants, discounts and free services from over fifty leading service providers. Each year over a thousand attendees benefit from unbiased guidance and access to a wide range of relevant service providers at its monthly workshops and conferences worldwide. We believe that when done ethically, surrogacy can be a positive, affirmative, and empowering arrangement for everyone involved. Therefore we have been actively engaged in creating an ethical framework and best practices for surrogacy. We are gay parents and surrogates who got together to make the dream of parenthood a wider reality for more gay men — and in the process to make society a better place for all.
